Historic Devon Unbadged Pairs Win for Budleigh

Andy Cardy, David Roberts and substitute Paul Griffin created a first for the Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club with overall victory in the Devon Unbadged Pairs Competition. They had a 19-14 shots win in the final match against Exonia at Culm Vale Bowling Club on Saturday.
They defeated a team from Addbrook Farm in the semi final 21-11 earlier in the day and in the preliminary rounds, had victories over Exmouth (Madeira), Seaton, Ottery St Mary, Chardstock and Yelverton Bowls Club on the way to the final.
An impressive title for the club and one which will hopefully encourage more Budleigh players to enter the 2027 Devon competitions.
