“The only regret I have in joining Budleigh Bowls Club is that I hadn’t done it sooner. Bowls is the perfect exercise for both body and mind it is also a challenge to acquire the necessary skills to perform well. It is a game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages but just as important belonging to a friendly club like Budleigh gives you a sense of belonging and community. I wish I had found the game of bowls and Budleigh Bowls Club much earlier in my life"
"Budleigh is such a friendly, welcoming club and we have built up a great community of friends, not just a bowls club"
New Member Story
"I’d always wanted to play bowls but previously, work had prevented that. Due to a change of circumstances, I went along to the open day and was immediately hooked, but then helped by the warm welcome and being able to attend roll ups with 'no judgement'. I signed up for coaching, which was so helpful and key in giving me the tools I required to make necessary adjustments. Becoming more confident and somewhat competitive, I was surprised to find I’d advanced enough to register for friendly matches, internal and club competitions. I have much to learn but thank you to everyone at Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club, especially the coaches and those who have encouraged me."
