Indoor Bowls
Our two full length indoor bowls rinks are in use from late September until mid-April. The club participates in cup competitions throughout Devon and plays friendly matches against local clubs. There are also internal, county and national tournaments for those wishing to participate.
Free tuition, coaching and loan of bowls are available for new members or those wishing to join.

Indoor Subscriptions for 2024/ 2025
We are pleased to say that the subscriptions remain the same as last year at £95. Please complete a Payment Form, a supply of which will be on the desk in the clubhouse.

Indoor Season 2024 / 2025
The Indoor rinks will be open from 23rd September and the session times will be displayed on the noticeboard by the double doors and in the changing rooms, there is also a link here to the session times. The official opening day will be on Saturday 28th September.

Indoor Internal Competitions
The draw has been completed for the Indoor Internal Competitions. The details have been placed in the changing rooms and can also be viewed or downloaded here. As the competition progresses the details will be updated to reflect the outcome of the matches in each round.
The Club Competition Rules for Indoor Internal Competitions have been updated and have also been put up on the noticeboards in the changing rooms. They are similar to the Rules for the Outdoor Internal Competitions.

The proposed 'play by' dates are as follows:
Some possible dates/times for playing matches in the coming weeks include the following Saturdays - 30/11, 21/12, 28/12, 4/1 (no friendly matches are being played then) - and all Wednesday PMs.
Markers will be required for singles matches - please volunteer.

Please note the following:
- Entrants must pay their entry fees before playing their first match. Entry fees are a single charge of £5 per competition entered. Note that there are no additional rink fees per match played. The money (in cash) should be put in an envelope marked with your NAME and 'INTERNAL COMPETITION FEES' and placed in the the Treasurer's box by the desk. If you are unsure how much you owe, please ask Marilyn or myself.
- 'Play by' dates will be adhered to (see below). But please try and arrange to play your matches ASAP, preferably before the deadline date. Owing to the limited number of ladies' entries, there is less urgency to start playing the ladies singles matches.
- The challenger (first person named) should contact their opponent to arrange a suitable date/time for the match. But if the challenger is a novice, their opponent should not hesitate to help facilitate the arrangements. Please remember to check for matches in the fixtures book and also the desk diary.
- For singles matches, the challenger is also responsible for finding a marker (but please contact your opponent - or if necessary us - if you have a problem!). More experienced players should volunteer to act as markers.
- Please enter your match details in the desk diary and let us know of your planned dates so we do not have to chase you.

- Round of 32 (only applicable to Men's 4 Wood, 4 games only) - by 28 December
- Round of 16 - by Saturday 18 January 2025
- Quarter finals (round of 8) by Saturday 1 March
- Semi finals by Saturday 29 March
- Finals on 4-5th April.

Indoor Triples League
This is a friendly but competitive league run every Wednesday morning, starting early October. Teams are made up of 6 or more players, from which 3 are chosen by the Team Captain and notified at the start of the season which dates they will be playing. You only usually play once a fortnight and usually with the same team members.

2) 10.00 am start.
3) Dead ends to be played again from the same end unless both Skips agree to play from the opposite end.
4) Both teams must have three members present otherwise the game must be re-arranged by the team who could not field a full team.
5) All games must be played by the 16/4/2025.
6) Please write the scores on the fixture list.
7) Place the score cards in the Indoor League box by the bar.
