Indoor Bowls
Our two full length indoor bowls rinks are in use from late September until mid-April. The club participates in cup competitions throughout Devon and plays friendly matches against local clubs. There are also internal, county and national tournaments for those wishing to participate.
Free tuition, coaching and loan of bowls are available for new members or those wishing to join.

Indoor Season 2024 / 2025
The Indoor rinks will be open from 23 September and the session times will be displayed on the noticeboard by the double doors and in the changing rooms. The official opening day will be on Saturday 28 September.
After that date, the outdoor green will be closed.
We would encourage our new outdoor members to consider playing indoors. It’s a different game, but just as enjoyable. There will be regular roll ups and friendly matches to take part in. These will all be detailed in the Fixtures Booklet which will be issued to each member on receipt of their subs payment. Please ensure your shoes and bowls are clean before using the indoor carpet and always change your outdoor shoes before walking on the indoor carpet.
Last season, several of the roll up sessions proved very popular and with only two rinks available quite often we had to play with just two bowls or not be able to play at all as the session was full. We have therefore decided to change the format of the Monday morning and Friday afternoon sessions.
The change is as follows:
Monday morning 9.30 – 11am and 11.15 – 12.45pm – The charge for these one and a half hour sessions will be £2.
Friday afternoon 1.30 – 3pm and 3.15 – 4.45pm. The bar will open as required and when a bar person is available.
We have also added a session on Saturday evenings for a roll up from 6 – 8pm
All other sessions will be £3 for two hours. As with outdoor roll ups, please arrive at least 15 minutes early so that teams can be selected. It is frustrating to sort the teams and then another player arrives later.
Indoor Triples League
This is a friendly but competitive league run every Wednesday morning, starting early October. Teams are made up of 6 or more players, from which 3 are chosen by the Team Captain and notified at the start of the season which dates they will be playing. You only usually play once a fortnight and usually with the same team members. The sign up sheet will be displayed on the noticeboard to the left of the double doors very shortly.
After that date, the outdoor green will be closed.
