Outdoor Bowls
Our six-rink bowling green is in use from mid-April until late September. The club participates in league and cup competitions throughout Devon and plays friendly matches against local clubs. Throughout the summer the club plays host to numerous teams. There are also internal, county and national tournaments for those wanting to participate.
Free tuition, coaching and loan of bowls are available for new members or those wishing to join.

2026 Season
The Outdoor season for 2026 will officially start on 13th April 2026 but has been delayed until Monday 29th June. Friendly games with other clubs will be away fixtures for April and May. We hope to start using our outdoor green again in July for friendly matches.
Budleigh Bowls Club will continue to use the Bowlr online system for this season. Booking for friendly matches and the administration for internal competitions as well as the membership list will continue to be online. Internal Outdoor Competitions 2026
The opening date of the outdoor green has been delayed until 29th June. Owing to the reduced length of our outdoor season, it has been decided that it is not practicable to play all of the usual outdoor internal competitions.
The following competitions only will be played this year:
* A NOVICE is any player who has NOT been a WINNER of any previously entered SINGLES BOWLS COMPETITION at this or any other club.
The maximum number of entries will be 16 in singles events (on a 'first come, first served' basis in terms of sign up).
For the Pairs competition, there will be a maximum of 16 pairs.
All members may enter a maximum of 3 competitions at a cost of £3 per competition (all inclusive).
Sign up sheets for these competitions have now been put on the notice-boards in both changing rooms.
The closing date for entries is Monday 15 June so we can then conduct the competition draw in time to enable first round matches to be played from 29th June.
There are the following deadlines for each round:
Ensure you are available to play on finals weekend, 11-13 September, before entering the competition.

Exeter & District Men's Over 60's Triples League
Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club has two teams in the Over 60's Triples League. The Otters play in division 3 and the Beavers play in division 8. The league matches will start on May 6th and finish on September 2nd.
