Outdoor Bowls
Our six-rink bowling greens are in use from mid-April until late September. The club participates in league and cup competitions throughout Devon and plays friendly matches against local clubs. Throughout the summer the club plays host to numerous teams. There are also internal, county and national tournaments for those wanting to participate.
Free tuition, coaching and loan of bowls are available for new members or those wishing to join.

2025 Season
The outdoor rinks will open on Monday 14th April 2025.
The official Opening Day Event, the annual Spider and Round Robin competition, will now take place on Saturday 3rd May at 2:00pm.
Subs for the outdoor season are due by 1 May, together with locker fees. There is a supply of Payment Renewal Forms on the desk in the clubhouse, a form can be downloaded from here too. Please complete one when you send your payment, as there are a couple of new important questions to be answered this season.

Internal Outdoor Competitions
Internal Outdoor Competitions will be run again this summer. The format will be "Knock-out" for all competitions.
Entry will be £3 per competition, with no additional charge per match played.
Closing date for entry is Friday 23rd May.
Finals to be held on 12-14th September. Please only enter if you are available for Finals Days.
Please show your support and enter as many competitions as you can. A competition will only go ahead if there is sufficient interest – likely to be a minimum of 8 entries!
Players should also be prepared to help with marking other singles matches.

Exeter & District Men's Over 60's Triples League
Budleigh Salterton Bowls Club have two teams in the Over 60's Triples League. The Otters play in division 3 and the Beavers play in division 8. The league starts and the first matches are taking place on 7th May at the usual time of 2:30 pm.
Our first matches are away at Axminster for the Otters and away to play Okehampton White for the Beavers.
Players are encouraged to practice on the outdoor greens before the first match.

When the squad captains select the teams for each match the detail will be available to view on the Match Card for the game, please tick your name on the Match Card to confirm your availability if selected. Let the squad captains know in good time if you will be unavailable.
