​We were a happy bunch before the match and I am pleased to report that, despite a narrow defeat for the ladies after two exciting final ends, we were a happy bunch after the match.  Both ladies teams were holding 4 and 6 respectively, before Andy killed the end on his rink and on ours we were holding 6 before John skillfully (the author says through gritted teeth!) reduced it to one. A very jolly afternoon with mince pies at tea. Well played everyone and we’ll meet again next year.

​Our Christmas Draw and Buffet evening was a great success. Thanks to all who made it happen, especially Tony Gooding, whose enthusiasm was infectious and he brought everyone such joy with his splendid cheeky elf Christmas jumper! An excellent buffet was provided by Kath and Tim, ably assisted by Sue and Tony. A good fun night and an opportunity to get out the Christmas jumpers!
